Here I will not say that What is correct or what is incorrect but today I will post only my opinion.
Yes A backdated degree can help a needy student but for that degree must be genuine and it must be verified by campus directly via confidential department. But today there are many or maximum consultants in education industry who even don’t know the meaning of a genuine or verified degree because they didn’t see the face of campus ever and they r not working with university(because they work outside of the campus).they just do the work in Photoshop then handover the printouts to a needy student which is dangerous for a student.
So how can A student verify from his hand “Is his degree genuine or not?”
For that A student needs to check the quality of papers,quality of fonts,quality of format because campus maintains always a professional and premium quality but fake consultants do the temporary and rough work. If a student starts to see,judge or recognize the difference between Premium quality or rough work then easily he can take a right decision.
2nd- Student should file the (RTI-Right to information act 2005) on his documents and get the confirmation directly from campus about authentication of his documents.
When problem comes for a student?
1st- when A student submit his degree then his employer verifies the degree but his verification result comes negative directly from campus.
2nd- When Student gives complete fees to a consultant but still consultant handover him the Photoshop work.
3rd- When An Employer comes to know that student’s degree is false then he terminates the student.
4th- when All the doors are closed for a student because he was caught once having fake Photoshop degree.
